NROC Security recently analyzed 139,000 generative AI interactions across 4,800 business users for its GenAI Effectiveness 2Q 2026 report. Active AI use jumped from 19 percent in the first quarter to 31 percent in the second. Yet only about 5 percent of employees qualified as highly effective users under NROC’s methodology, which looks at frequency of use and prompting skill.
